Suskwa FSR Bulkley River Bridge Undertruss

Project Description

The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development is undertaking the rehabilitation of Bulkley River Bridge #R3-074. The bridge required under-truss support for the glulam girders to extend its service life until a second crossing can be designed and constructed. Scope of Work included; Installation of Traffic Management Plan to maintain access for residents along the Suskwa FSR, Installation of temporary approaches to allow excavation of abutments, Removal and replacement of existing ballast wall, Installation of under-truss support brackets at girder ends, Installation of queen-post supports, Installation of Dywidag truss components, Reinstating bridge approaches, and Environmental protection.

1.8 km on the Suskwa FSR, east of the community of Hazelton, B.C.
